Networking
September 25, 2008
The object of networking is finding other people to do business with. Different ways to go about this is to find other blogs to post about on your blog. Then you can link to their blog and ask them to also link to your blog. You can also go searching under topics that pertain to you or your business that are found on the free side of the search engine. By going to those websites you can see what other web users could potentially promote you, and if you could promote there. If you find a web user that you would like ally yourself with, promote your product, or see if they will add your link, go to their “contact us” portion of their page and get their e-mail address. You can approach them by saying things along the lines of: you sell a similar product, that you have similar customers, or that you believe that you can both help each other by doing cross-promotions.

Making Google Work for You
September 10, 2008
Optimizing your keyword
So you’ve got this dynamite list of keywords and you’re developing your article. Don’t be shy about italicizing or bolding your text. It helps the user identify the key point, and Google looks for the HTML tags that designate the font changes. Use those keywords, but only when necessary!
Google will penalize a site that uses too many keywords. You never want to spam your users, it’s an unfair advantage that isn’t tolerated. Make sure your keywords are syncing up with the text and if they don’t, use synonyms! Remember, Google is all about relevance.
So With these handy tips you can easily find the keyword that’s right for you. Optimizing for the right keyword is one of the steps you’ll need to go through on your shortcuts to internet millions.
Licensed Products
September 9, 2008
Even though marketing your own products and services has a lot of benefits, there are a lot of good reasons to license and promote other people’s products and services too. It is good to diversify and expand your offerings of products for your customers.
You will need to identify the wants and the needs within your market and try to develop your own products. If you are doing that well and creating a good relationship with your market, you can promote products and services of other people, that your subscriber list and customer list will be attracted to. When you license and promote the goods of others, and you have a good relationship, they really take your advice. You are then in a position where you can suggest ideas and things to them, rather than seem like you’re cramming things down their throat.
It’s important to understand that an affiliate uses some of the same methods that you do in your shortcuts to internet millions. They use search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing and email marketing just to name a few. You will need to utilize these methods if you want to, in turn, promote the affiliate. See the cycle? This is your chance to bring in product reviews, or testimonials. These blurbs of information can “remind” casual internet browsers of things they might want; this equals money for you!
Choosing the best affiliate for you depends very highly on what you want to do. Do you want to help someone open a business? Do you want to supply someone with health and beauty products? And once you’ve made the connection, discussion boards are a great place to talk with people who want these products or services.
Don’t drift too far from your niche. Companies like Amazon and Ebay are where people go when they want to search for products. Affiliates are no different from any other product, they still need to be marketed with an intended audience in mind. Discussion boards likeYahoo Answers are gathering places for groups of people who fit into a variety of niche markets. If you build your website around affiliate marketing, keep in mind that information, and the quality of it, will be what sets you apart from internet shopping mall giants.
Information sells!
September 5, 2008
Guess what people… Information sells products. Sounds simple right? If you aren’t using articles to market your products, you need to take a good look at how your local news gets its subscriber/viewer base. How many times have you been motivated to watch the ten o’clock edition out of fear of dying from something you’ve eaten, or wanting to know the end of a story that sounded amazing?
Effective Copywriting
If you don’t believe that, pay attention to the ads run by your local news station. “Something you could be having for dinner might be extremely dangerous to you, more on the 10 o’clock addition.” How many times have you heard something like this, gotten curious and found yourself waiting until almost 10:55 to see what ends up being a 5 minute filler portion at the end of the show?
Now combined with affiliates, internet marketers are finding classified ads to be an effective free way to get into advertising. By using even the most basic counter, you can quickly monitor the amount of traffic you’re receiving to the site.
Depending on the revisions of your sales ad, you may so those numbers rise or fall dramatically. If you want to make money online, you’ll need information to sell your product. Is there a better way to entice someone to take a look at what you offer?
A good article uses keywords and introduces information to a user to stimulate a purchase decision. Content and keywords are therefore two problems that can be solved at the same time. A quick search for keywords can help fill your article with specific relevant terms the user is looking for. You can use wordtracker.com/gtrends to check for relevant keywords and see how often these items are actually being searched. By searching for keywords you may also find yourself with more than a few ideas for articles.
The Proper Web Host
September 4, 2008
Where your website resides is extremely important to your ability to market it, so deciding which web host to go with is important. You’ll need to consider your monthly hosting fees. You don’t want to be throwing money away but you also don’t want to go for the cheapest hosting fee and not get quality. The fees for good hosting will be anywhere from $14.95 - $59.95 for one site. You can get anywhere from no support on the low end, to 24/7 support on the high end. Something you will want to keep in mind is that ISP and hosting companies are two separate entities. You might have an ISP where you’re connecting to the Internet through your local cable company. But then you are using some company that could be located in New York, Oregon, or somewhere else that has rooms full of servers that host your Internet site. These also have back-up servers that are connected to what’s called the backbone of the Internet, so that your communications can be reached from all over the world.
The Money List
September 3, 2008
Want an email list, but don’t know how to start gathering? The solution can be as simple as starting with family and friends. Let them know you are building a website and start sharing the link to it. Send out a simple, but informative, email and kindly ask them to pass the link along.
Avoid form letters or ads, make it personal. If you can sell the person, you’ll make money on the internet in no time! If you’re already browsing forums, ask to exchange email addresses with anyone you’ve become acquainted with. Jeff Paul says, if you want to make connections, be the answer guru! Remember, your information and your personality are your greatest assets in these shortcuts to internet millions.
