Licensed Products
September 9, 2008
Even though marketing your own products and services has a lot of benefits, there are a lot of good reasons to license and promote other people’s products and services too. It is good to diversify and expand your offerings of products for your customers.
You will need to identify the wants and the needs within your market and try to develop your own products. If you are doing that well and creating a good relationship with your market, you can promote products and services of other people, that your subscriber list and customer list will be attracted to. When you license and promote the goods of others, and you have a good relationship, they really take your advice. You are then in a position where you can suggest ideas and things to them, rather than seem like you’re cramming things down their throat.
It’s important to understand that an affiliate uses some of the same methods that you do in your shortcuts to internet millions. They use search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing and email marketing just to name a few. You will need to utilize these methods if you want to, in turn, promote the affiliate. See the cycle? This is your chance to bring in product reviews, or testimonials. These blurbs of information can “remind” casual internet browsers of things they might want; this equals money for you!
Choosing the best affiliate for you depends very highly on what you want to do. Do you want to help someone open a business? Do you want to supply someone with health and beauty products? And once you’ve made the connection, discussion boards are a great place to talk with people who want these products or services.
Don’t drift too far from your niche. Companies like Amazon and Ebay are where people go when they want to search for products. Affiliates are no different from any other product, they still need to be marketed with an intended audience in mind. Discussion boards likeYahoo Answers are gathering places for groups of people who fit into a variety of niche markets. If you build your website around affiliate marketing, keep in mind that information, and the quality of it, will be what sets you apart from internet shopping mall giants.
